The SF Giants had announced that Manny was their VIP guest at the 2008 Filipino Heritage Game.  FWN started receiving emails from women's groups and others about Manny's alleged domestic violence case filed in the Philippines.  FWN has an active 'Filipinas Against Violence' campaign and we have zero tolerance for DV perpetrators.  I contacted Ging to verify the info we've received so FWN could respond appropriately. Ging responded to our request promptly and told us that she could not verify the info we've received based on the news research database she accessed.  Her professionalism and prompt attention to the allegation is commendable.  This could have been a headline story.  An irresponsible journalist could have taken advantage and published anyway.

I ttloaly agree. I would at a counseling center for about 2 years where we worked exclusively with sexually abused children and non-offending parents. We were always stressing this point. Good post!
