IN THIS ISSUE:

Calling Awesome FWN Women Who Lunch! Are you in Manila December 17 (Tuesday)? Invitation to lunch with our CEO, Marily Mondejar

It's our first International FWN Roadshow! The FWN Board is thrilled to announce that the 11th Filipina Leadership Summit will be convened in Manila on October 2014. The summit's highlight, as you know, is the selection of the 100 Most Influential Filipina Women in the World. This action gets us closer to FWN's Pinay Power 2020 mission - "A Filipina woman leader in every sector of the economy."

Many of our Philippines-based members have invited FWN to visit. So, here we are! We're coming home.

Many of you have also kept us posted about your Philippine travels...and are either in Manila now or will be travelling to Manila soon for the various trips being organized for:

Feed the Hungry typhoon disaster relief efforts,
    medical and humanitarian missions,
family celebrations, class reunions, holiday vacations . . .

So, if you are (or will be) in Manila and available on Tuesday, the 17th of December, please join Marily for a no-host lunch from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Chef Jessie Top of the City, 34th Floor, Citibank Tower, 8741 Paseo de Roxas, Makati City, Philippines. Tel nos (+632)-750-5810 to 11. RSVP HERE: www.FilipinaWomensNetwork.org/Events

Marily will be arriving Manila Tuesday, Dec 10th-

For the business aspect: Convene the Filipina Summit:
Explore options in venues for our flagship hotel, Learning Journeys, very special events, speak with potential corporate sponsors, seek out notable speakers, meet with the new U.S. Ambassador to the Philippines, seek opportunities to meet with President Aquino, and appreciate the cultural traditions that differentiate the Filipina woman leader.

Personal Visit:

As some of you may know, Tacloban City, my hometown, was hardest hit by Typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda. My family was greatly affected and my nephew and his entire family have not been found. It's a very sad visit to Tacloban this time.

“Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.” - Maya Angelou

So...c'mon down and take 2 hours off and visit with "Awesome FWN Women Who Lunch" and let's laugh, tell stories, swap out-of-the-box ideas on how to make 2014 the bestest summit ever, drink, and celebrate life!

If you want to join the Summit Steering Committee, meet with FWN CEO, Marily Mondejar, who will be in the Philippines until January 14.

Way to go!

Women in Solidarity: REBUILD Tacloban Philippines for Filipina Women & Girls (after Typhoon Yolanda) - Jan. 23, 2014 @ Credo

Please join FWN at a fundraising reception to help REBUILD Tacloban Philippines hosted by Bay Area Women's Groups in Solidarity with Filipina Women and Girls.

We need your help to get their jobs back as businesses have been severely damaged and we have to find a way for these families to have a source of income. Our hearts go out to the Women of Candahug, the "Village of Widows" - the husbands, fathers, and sons stayed behind while the women and children escaped to higher group when Typhoon Haiyan swooped in at 200mph, surging the waves as high as 16 ft.

Your contribution and 100% of proceeds will support the long-term rebuilding efforts through the help of Feed the Hungry Philippines - their volunteers and staff are now on-the-ground doing relief work.

RSVP Now! -  https://WomenForTacloban.eventbrite.com
