The Worldwide Campaign is a catalyst for mobilizing communities to heighten awareness about violence against women and girls. By creating this world community, the Worldwide Campaign strives to empower women to find their collective voices and demand an end to the epidemic levels of violence and abuse in their communities around the world. In 2003, V-Day the global movement to stop violence against women and girls went grassroots and global.

900 highly successful V Day Worldwide and College Campaign events
were held around the world. They were responsible for raising more than $4
million through benefit productions of Eve Ensler’s ground-breaking, Obie
Award-winning play, “The Vagina Monologues.” Hot on the heels of their
success, San Francisco has joined this global movement as part of the V-Day
2004 Worldwide Campaign.

In 2003, V-Day happened in 900 venues around the world. In 2004 (between
Feb. 10 and March 31), the Filipina Women’s Network will be one of 2,000
events at over 1,000 locations around the world channeling their creative
energy into making a difference as part of the V-Day Worldwide
Campaign. It is our intention to make V-Day 2004 San Francisco a huge
success.
