About FWN
Who we are
The Filipina Women's Network (FWN)
is the non-profit association for women of Philippine ancestry living in the U.S. FWN provides educational and cultural resources through publications, lectures, activities, and training programs to further the professional and personal development of its members.
FWN members are Filipina women from corporations, government and nonprofit sectors including organizations who support FWN's mission.
What we do
FWN provides Filipina women with opportunities to share practical career and business experiences. This focus on actual career and business experiences, rather than theory, from practitioners, corporate managers and leaders, along with peer networking, are the distinguishing features of FWN meetings.
Our Mission - advance Filipina women in the U.S. workplace
FWN strives to -
enhance public perceptions of Filipina women's capacities to lead,
change biases against Filipina women's leadership abilities and
build the Filipina American community's pipeline of qualified leaders, to increase the odds that some will rise to the president position in all sectors.
FWN achieves these goals through public education forums to heighten Filipina women's visibility, surveys on Filipina women's issues, leadership and career development programs for Filipina women, and influencing popular culture.
