A Learning Journey To The Center of Power |
Filipinas go to Washington DC
We begin our Pinay Power 2012 game plan with a learning journey to the center of power. Moving from awareness to action, we increase our ability as learners to focus on how political power and advocacy work by meeting those who legislate our lives and how they do it.
Register for the Filipina Summit now!
More than a field trip, symposium or forum, Learning Journeys immerse us in the reality – and long-range implications – of the politics of government. These experiences enable us to deepen, accelerate, and internalize our own learning about the business of government, advocacy and policy-making.
Learning Journeys reflect our conviction that the most powerful learning occurs through experience and interaction, not from books or speeches.
“A desk is a dangerous
place from which
to view the world.”

PURPOSE |
Every year, the Filipina Women's Network (FWN) brings together Filipina women, corporate America's untapped source of leadership at a time when economic, social and political challenges demand new levels of talent and innovation.
The FWN Summit is held in October in celebration of Filipino Heritage Month. 2006-2007 is significant as it marks 100 years of Filipinos in the U.S. It is a most appropriate time to honor our accomplishments and contributions to American society.
FWN strives to meet this demand by providing Filipina women the knowledge and resources and by building a network of women who dare to change the landscape of the leadership in today's workplace.
Please join us in three days of compelling conversations on what it takes to lead change and initiate re-invention.
